Every now and then something unintentional happens that leads you to rediscover a forgotten skill. Leaving work yesterday I left my sketch book on my desk, which I didn’t realize until I got home. Running through my head were all the projects I wanted to finish on the way to work. Luckily, I had my Koi field water color kit (I highly recommend buying one, for any mobile artist) in my bag. The end result was a reintroduction to the beauty of water color. I will be doing more!
My art is made during my commute to work every morning. It is not uncommon for me to be listening to Radiohead, Gaslamp Killers, Flying Lotus or Free The Robots while sitting on the Broad Street Line, awaiting my arrival at AT&T Station. During the day I’m a graphic designer in support of Philly sports teams which can be exciting and stressful. When I get a bit down I make images like the one posted here.
